What We Believe

Our church with common consent acknowledge the essentials of the Christian Faith which are contained in both the Old and New Testaments, in the Apostolic Creed as written below, and in the document attached known as the “Principles of the Doctrine of Christ—As taught in the Apostolic Lutheran Church of America”, Second Printing (with additions) 1996.

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.  We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick (living) and the dead.  We believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting.

The sacred ministrations of this church are to be performed in accordance with the above-mentioned confession, and its holy functions are to be preserved according to the immutable Word of God; namely, that the Old and New testaments are the only standard of truth by which all doctrines shall be examined and judged.
